Privacy Policy

GTRND is operated by Get Traind, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, 9595 Six Pines Dr, Ste 6390, The Woodlands, TX 77381, United States (“GTRND”, “we”). We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.

It covers the GTRND app for iPhone, the website at gtrnd.com, and the emails we exchange with you. Coaches and venues who use GTRND Studio have their own agreement with us; this page is about the people who train.

We only collect data that a feature needs. This is the full list.

• Account and profile. Your email address and name, and the profile details you choose to add: birthday, sex, height, weight, fitness level, the sports you play, your home city, and a profile photo. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email address Apple shares with us.
• Bookings and payments. The sessions and plans you book, their price, and your payment history. Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s payment sheet; GTRND never sees or stores your card number. Stripe tells us only whether a payment succeeded.
• Location. When you allow it, the app reads your current location to show how far sessions and venues are from you. It is sent with the search request and used for that request only. We do not keep a history of where you have been.
• Health data, only if you connect a wearable. Sleep, heart, activity, recovery and related readings from Apple Health or a connected wearable, used to compute your health scores. Section 4 covers this in detail.
• Support conversations. What you write to us at support@gtrnd.com or privacy@gtrnd.com, so we can answer you.
• Technical data. The app version, device model and iOS version, and the error logs needed to keep the service running. The app contains no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics kit.

• Run the service: create your account, show sessions near you, take bookings and payments, and tell you about confirmations and changes.
• Compute your health scores and show how they change over time, if you connected a wearable.
• Answer your support requests and keep your account secure.
• Meet legal obligations, such as keeping payment records for tax purposes.
• Improve GTRND, using counts and aggregates that do not identify you.

In legal terms: we process account, booking and payment data to perform our contract with you; location and health data on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the app; support and security on our legitimate interest in running a reliable service; and tax records to comply with the law. We never use your data for advertising, and we never sell it.

Health features are optional. Nothing is read until you connect Apple Health or a wearable in the app, and the connection asks for your permission first.

If you connect a wearable, its data is shared with GTRND to compute your scores, through Terra, a health data platform. It stays yours, encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosted in the European Union. Coaches never see it.

We use health data for one purpose: computing and showing your scores in the app. We do not use it for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with data brokers, insurers or employers.

Disconnecting the wearable stops new data. Deleting your account erases what was collected.

We share personal data only with the people and providers needed to deliver the service:

• Coaches and venues see your name and, where you added it, your profile photo, plus the sessions you booked with them, so they know who is coming. They never see your health data, your payment details or your location.
• Stripe processes payments and handles your card details under its own privacy policy. Where Stripe processes data outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by the EU standard contractual clauses.
• Terra relays Apple Health and wearable data to us, only after you connect a source.
• Amazon Web Services hosts GTRND in the European Union.
• Apple provides Sign in with Apple, Apple Pay and the App Store, under Apple’s own terms.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, for example tax reporting on sales made through the platform.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

• Account and profile data: for as long as your account exists.
• Bookings and health data: for as long as your account exists, so you can see your history and your scores over time.
• Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you delete your account.
• Support emails: until your request is resolved and for a short period after, in case you write again.

When you delete your account, everything above except the payment records the law requires is erased within 30 days.

You can see, correct, export or erase your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw a consent you gave. Most of it you can do yourself in the app:

• Edit your details in the Profile tab.
• Disconnect a wearable under Health sources.
• Turn location off for GTRND in your iPhone’s Settings.
• Delete your account under Profile › Delete account. Your plan cancels with its notice period, unused credits are void, and everything is erased within 30 days.

For anything else, including an export of your data, write to privacy@gtrnd.com. We answer within one month. If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to your local data protection authority; in Portugal that is the CNPD.

Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored encrypted. Sign-in is protected by your password or by Sign in with Apple, and the app can keep you signed in with Face ID. Card details never touch our servers. If we ever learn of a breach that puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

GTRND is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has created an account, write to privacy@gtrnd.com and we will remove it.

gtrnd.com uses only the cookies needed to keep coaches and venues signed in to their dashboard. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics scripts, so there is nothing to accept or reject.

When we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
